American Family Insurance Offers Fans a Chance to Meet Cubs Pitcher Carlos Zambrano

Lombard, IL –American Family Insurance and the Chicago Cubs are partnering on a sweepstakes at each home game for a chance to meet Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano. Sweepstakes forms are available at the offices of local American Family Insurance agents, and American Family agents also hand out forms inside Wrigley Field before selected home games.

The sweepstakes is open to any fan and does not require a ticket purchase. Winners will meet with Zambrano in early September, before a scheduled home game.

Doug Stimeling, American Family sales director for the Chicago area, said fans have responded overwhelmingly to the 86-seat smoke-free, alcohol-free family section sponsored by the insurance company. Tickets are available through the Cubs box office.

“American Family is proud to sponsor the family seating section,” Stimeling said. “It’s the perfect setting for a relaxing family outing.”

At each Cubs game, one lucky family from the special seating section is selected as the “American Family, Family of the Game” 30 minutes before the first pitch. The family is escorted to the on-deck circle for a photograph. Each fan in the 86-seat section also receives a free backpack, courtesy of American Family Insurance and the Chicago Cubs.
