IMPROV TRAFFIC SCHOOL ROLLS WITH LAUGHTER

So, the police pulled you over and wrote you a ticket. Now you have to go to driver improvement school. Relax, you can laugh the points off your record! The next ImprovJacksonville Comedy Improv Traffic School class is Saturday, June 3. ImprovJacksonville Comedy Traffic School offers real world lessons and certified instruction, but with a sense of humor.

The class will be held from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the ImprovJacksonville Comedy Theater located in the Jacksonville Landing, and costs $45. For class information or to register, call (904) 247-4707.

ImprovJacksonville performers who teach traffic school are trained and certified by the American Institute for Public Safety, one of the nation’s leading training companies accredited by state regulatory agencies. ImprovJacksonville Comedy Traffic School offers a four-hour Basic Driver Improvement course that is state approved and certified. The course is designed for individuals who have received a traffic citation but have not attended traffic school in the last 12 months and have elected to attend traffic school fewer than five times.

The humor-based curriculum covers material such as traffic laws, impaired driving, speeding and avoiding collisions. Upon completion of the course, students receive a certificate recognized by the State of Florida as proof of fulfilling their obligation. By completing the course, students avoid the addition of points to their driving record, avoid costly insurance rate increases and pay a reduced fine.

If your schedule does not allow time for the in-theatre class, ImprovJacksonville offers several alternatives. A DVD or VHS copy of the Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) Course is available for order allowing you to take the course at your convenience. There are also several online choices for the BDI class, including a Spanish version. If you are a new driver, there is also a class for you available online.
