Entertainment Executive Randy Tat is pleased to announce his involvement as an artist in the Zimmer Children's Museum's Annual Fundraiser —show& tell: the art of time exhibition running May 7th, 2006 through June 9, 2006. All clock art from the exhibit is for sale with 100% of the proceeds benefiting youTHink, their innovative art and education program serving public school students throughout California.This highly creative exhibit, curated by Artist Kate Stern, also features works of art using clocks as the theme by 77 other artists, humanitarians and social activists including Robert Graham, Chuck Arnoldi, Paul Frank, Sami Hayek; Julia Butterfly Hill, environmentalist, author and founder of Circle of Life, Guillermo Gomez-Pena, author, performance artist and recipient of the MacArthur Genius Award, among many others.
“I am very honored to be chosen to participate in this very prestigious show, which also benefits a very important cause,” says Tat. Tat created and donated a a wardrobe and makeup trunk filled and covered with an eclectic collection of vintage graphics, fabrics, clown noses, gloves, and other clown props, and black and white photos naming his piece “Timey the Juggling Clown’s Circus Trunks (circa 1942).” His piece is valued at $5,000 and includes the exhibit case.
“Timey the Juggling Clown’s Circus Trunks is a completely inspired imaginative piece. The artist has created an entire life history with an extraordinary narrative,” says Barbara Lazaroff, architectural designer and restaurateur. “There are so many layers of craft, thought and attention to detail involved. It’s as though the trunks are a living, breathing piece of art.”
Tat has sold more than 150 individual pieces to collectors, with many more commissioned works. Randy’s limited edition release of his lithograph, "Living on the Ceiling," sold 250 out of the 300 in the series. He is currently preparing for his next TAT ON THE WALL show featuring his fine art of geometric, abstract graphics and collages, with moving shapes and pieces, presented in three-dimensional settings reflective of architecture.

As an avid flea market enthusiast, Tat is also a talented designer whose work on his child’s room which was featured as a five-page spread in Romantic Homes and on a Style Network’s “Homes with Style” segment. His design specialty is “Weekend Makeovers” of rooms specific to an individual’s style and desires utilizing unique themes and items with budgets anywhere from $3,000 to $50,000.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Randy Tat attended Cornish Institute of the Arts in Seattle, WA. His “Tat on the Wall” multi-media fine art has been exhibited at the Blueprint and Kings Road Art Galleries in W. Hollywood; The Art Gallery in Beverly Hills; the Studio in Sherman Oaks; the Retrospective Galleries in La Jolla and San Diego; and the Matsky Gallery in Seattle, WA. “Timey the Juggling Clown’s Circus Trunks” is his first three-dimensional piece of art reflecting his interest in vintage circus memorabilia. He is married and resides in Los Angeles with their two children.
