DIGICORE'S VEHICLE TRACKING HELPS ACORN LIGHTING ENHANCE FLEET VISIBILITY AND CONTROL

Acorn Lighting Services, the Yorkshire-based street furniture maintenance company, has enhanced vehicle visibility and control, and achieved significant business and operational efficiencies since it adopted DigiCore’s C-track solution within its fleet operation. To date, the company has increased productivity by more than 11 per cent, whilst reducing overtime claims and fuel consumption.

The C-track vehicle tracking and fleet management system was selected by Acorn Lighting Services to enable the company to coordinate its vehicle fleet more effectively and provide an effective safeguard against vehicle theft, enhancing productivity and realising time and cost savings across its business.The company operates a 20-strong fleet, made up of mostly access platform vehicles and hi-ab trucks from two sites located in Harrogate and Stockport.

Acorn Lighting Services has utilised both real-time and historical data to ensure mobile assets and employees are operating to their full potential. As a result, improved fleet visibility has increased the company’s daily job count, whilst exception reporting has identified where under-performance is occurring.

C-track has also allowed Acorn Lighting Services to better serve its customers. Jobs are now completed quicker and more effectively, and real-time vehicle tracking has enabled the company to provide a more responsive maintenance service. In addition, enhanced reporting capability provides customers with an accurate breakdown of work undertaken.

Fleet security has been improved with vehicle status alerts via text message and flexible geofencing capability providing a safeguard against theft and added peace of mind. Using the C-track solution, Acorn Lighting Services receives immediate warning of any unauthorised movements, enabling them to minimise the potential impact of vehicle crime on their business.
