Lake Garrison opens for the season on Saturday, May 27, 2006 for swimming, picnicking, boating and tons of family fun!

Lake Garrison will be open on Saturdays and Sundays through Father’s Day, June 18, and then open daily through Labor Day. Hours and admission pricing is available at www.LakeGarrison.com.

Lake Garrison is a recreation destination for thousands of families every summer. With a wide, clean beach, calm, inviting waters and a small armada of rowboats and paddle boats, Lake Garrison offers a full day of fun in the sun.

Lake Garrison would be a great destination for large groups as they begin their 2006 event planning. Businesses and organizations of all sizes are always looking for safe and affordable locations for their spring and summer outings. Lake Garrison has supported groups of thousands of people from churches, schools and other non-profit organizations, as well groups from offices, factories and stores around South Jersey.

Lake Garrison has a long and colorful history in Elk Township. The lake was originally a cranberry bog, and was re-opened as a lakeside recreation facility in 1935 by John Garrison, a local grocery store owner. Some of the original lakeside buildings are still standing.
