Nashville CVB Finds "Winning" Solution to Market and Sell More Cost-Effectively.
May 11, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
The Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau (NCVB) has selected New Media Gateway's Destination Business System to help market and sell the destination more cost-effectively.Like a lot of CVBs and destination marketers, NCVB was looking to technology to help optimize their existing assets, reduce "downtime" activities, and produce better overall results.
"We reviewed five different CRM applications before deciding on New Media Gateway's DBS" began Butch Spyridon, President of the NCVB. "We selected NMG for three reasons.
First, because they have a solution for the future, which can grow with us as we grow.
Second, because our staff saw not just a CRM application, but also the tools to use the system creatively and to market proactively.
And third, our board liked the fact that NMG has a strong background in serving Fortune 1000 customers, and therefore has a strong likelihood to be around for a long while and can offer ideas from outside the industry."
Kay Hopwood, MCSE, MCDBA and IT Director of the NCVB, described it this way: "It felt like we won the lottery."
"When you buy a lottery ticket, you're hoping to hit the jackpot and secure your family's future", Ms. Hopwood continued.
"NMG's sales/marketing/CRM technology solutions are helping our NCVB family to secure our future, which depends on our ability to successfully market and sell Nashville as a destination."
In addition to the DBS, NCVB also invested in other NMG technology products and services including the Digital Marketing Center and Custom Application Development.
The Digital Marketing Center is a collection of eight frequently used communication tools i.e. E-Mail, Form & Survey, etc. enabling each staff member to maximize NCVB marketing/sales collateral to communicate with and market and sell to all target audiences.
Nashville also is using NMG's Custom Application Development services to digitize and web enable their ticket attraction program which will help automate the process and provide better statistical data.
"We're proud to have Nashville on board as a customer", stated Dave Whitney, President of NMG's Hospitality Division. "We have tripled the number of CVB customers we had a year ago, so I can relate to how Kay feels about 'winning the lottery'. We look forward to continuing serving Nashville and all of our other Hospitality customers well."
