MIT Professor Don Rosenfield to Speak at China Supply Chain Council's May 23 Breakfast in Shanghai

On May 23, the China Supply Chain Council is organizing a breakfast discussion with Donald Rosenfield, Faculty Affiliate at MIT Forum for Supply Chain Innovation. Director, Leaders for Manufacturing, MIT and Senior Lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management.

What You Will Learn ….
Don Rosenfield will explain the type of work that is being done at MIT in relation to the latest developments in supply chain management. The discussion will then cover the possible implications and links with the China market. Other emerging themes in supply chain and logistics will be addressed through moderated discussion and Q&A.

Dr. Donald Rosenfield
Donald Rosenfield is an expert on operations management and strategy. His studies focus on logistics, supply chain management, logistics planning and strategy, and the interface between manufacturing and logistics. He explores how these areas of activity work together for competitive advantage. He also investigates facility location, management of global facilities networks, and management of a logistics supply chain across several organizations. Some particular issues include what types of locations and strategies companies follow in developing global strategies and entering new markets. Dr. Rosenfield has written articles for a number of journals, including Harvard Business Review, Operations Research, Management Science, and Sloan Management Review. He is the co-author of Modern Logistics Management, published by John Wiley in 1985.
