This is a Spanish Classifieds site with contents entirely in Spanish. Any internet user from anywhere in the world can post an ad for free, preferably in Spanish.
Although the distance is not limited, a classifieds website by definition requires the posters to be in a general area rather than two sides of the globe because of the difficulty of shipping goods and services. As of now the site is targeting the residents of Southern California. The website is geared toward newly arrived immigrants of Hispanic origin who have yet to master English but is eager to find jobs, post services they can offer, rent apartments or rooms with other Hispanic individuals who can speak their language and share similar cultural background. The website can help individuals who prefer to communicate and interact with other people of the same language to minimize the effect of the language barrier when transitioning into a new lifestyle in a foreign country. Lista de Yo can help these new immigrants to quickly establish a way of life in the United States and at the same time allow already-established Hispanic people to be able to reach out and help these new immigrants. Lista de Yo is still at an infant stage but ready to expand beyond Southern California and the seven categories that it currently has. If the popularity gains exponentially over the next few years, Lista de Yo can be created for each major city of United States. In addition, more categories can be added at client requests and sub-categories introduced to allow clients to post in a more specific section in Lista de Yo.
The website will be entirely free to post and search through. There will never be a charge to post or search an ad. Each user can attach an image to their post as well, for free, to better communicate their ad. The website offers minimal google ads and more space for actual content to be displayed on the screen. The goal of the website is not to be a money-making machine but rather a community for Hispanic individuals to correspond with each other in a free and friendly environment. Currently at the homepage the newest three ads of each category are displayed. As users post, the homepage constantly shows the newest ads to help individuals on the go to quickly identify any relevant and current ads if available.
Hopefully this website will serve as a premier beacon for the Spanish speaking population of USA and allow people to connect and trade goods and services in their native language which provides a greater sense of bond between two internet users.
