Today Article 13 launches a new series of website investigations, where the spotlight is turned on different areas of innovation in CSR and how it is adding value to organisations. The first feature in the series takes an in-depth look at innovation in CSR reporting. The feature can be accessed in full at www.article13.com.CSR reports provide companies with a visible means of communicating how their activities have contributed to the economic, social and environmental aims of sustainability. Article 13’s CSR expert view looks at ways in which companies can take an innovative approach to CSR reporting, avoid opening themselves up to risk and enhance their reputation through a transparent and measured approach.
Article 13’s inaugural View from the field features a thought provoking vision of what the future of CSR reporting holds. ACCA experts speculate about what organisations will be reporting upon and how they will be reporting in 2016.
The accompanying briefing papers consider two topical issues which are helping shape CSR reporting – the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the UK’s Operating and Financial review (OFR).
This website feature also includes two CSR best practice case studies, which highlight two companies recently rated top performers in CSR reporting: BAA have been evaluating their community and environment performance for many years and continue to innovate in their CSR reporting, while Chiquita are developing innovating reporting in a field where Fair Trade issues are bringing new dimensions to the fore.
