Toumaz Technology Limited Names Dr Ian McWalter As New CEO

Abingdon, United Kingdom - Toumaz Technology Limited today announces that it has appointed Dr Ian Lindsay McWalter as its new Chief Executive Officer. Keith Errey, who served as Toumaz CEO since co-founding the company in 2000, will take on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Dr McWalter was most recently President and CEO of Canadian semiconductor manufacturer Gennum Corporation, and brings to his new role over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor and electronics industry – 20 of those gained in senior management positions at Gennum and Nortel.

Dr McWalter joins Toumaz with a focus on accelerating the commercialisation of Toumaz’s proprietary AMx™ advanced mixed signal technology within its key healthcare and consumer electronic markets. Following its acquisition in November 2005 by AIM-listed nanotechnology investment vehicle Nanoscience Inc., Toumaz announced plans to invest in a number of key areas, including ongoing development of new products and the ultra-low power Sensium™ family of devices, investigations into advanced semiconductor processes and the strengthening of the company’s engineering and commercial teams.

Dr McWalter gained his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College in 1976 and has held board positions with a number of electronics companies and key industry bodies.
