Book Release: Deceptive Diagnosis: When Sin is Called Sickness

Fairview Heights, IL - "Deceptive Diagnosis: When Sin is Called Sickness" by Dr. David Tyler and Dr. Kurt Grady is soon to be released. This new book seeks to challenge Christians to adopt a biblical worldview in understanding the cause and solution to the non-physical problems of man. In the mid-1960’s, a major shift occurred in the church. Instead of calling sinful and deviant behavior “sin”, it was labeled “sickness”. Now instead of seeking God’s definitions and explanations of human behavior, more and more people are accepting a secular worldview based on humanistic psychology rather than the Bible. Believers have been duped into thinking they are sick and need recovery. Of course, this diagnosis removes personal accountability.
Dr. Dennis Frey, President of Master’s Divinity School, stated that Karl Menniger’s book, “Whatever Became of Sin?” served as an early warning to the evangelical community in 1973. He believes that many will find “Deceptive Diagnosis” a disturbing read, but if it is not read, and its message not heeded, one can only consider with dismay how the next generation of evangelicals may define sin.
Dr. David Tyler is the Director of Gateway Biblical Counseling and Training Center in Fairview Heights, IL. He is the Vice President of the Board of Directors of Master’s Divinity School. Dr. Kurt Grady is a practicing pharmacist in the St. Louis area. He holds a Doctor of Biblical Studies degree from Master’s Graduate School of Divinity.
"Deceptive Diagnosis: When Sin is Called Sickness" is published by Focus Publishing of Bemidji, Minnesota.
