Myspace.com Promotes Local Band To National Band
April 13, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
A local Jacksonville band has found a large following due to their Myspace.com listing. The band places their new tracks, venues, show times out for their circle of friends. They also give updates and allow their "friends" or "fans" rather to get the latest news. Will Myspace branch out and create a "Bands Only Site?" No one is for sure. "The World Awaits," formerly known as "SONAR" swept all it's opponents away during Florida's Battle Of The Bands Contest in 2005.
The band located in Jacksonville, FL used this recognition to hook up with Limp Bizkits Bassist Sam Rivers. Sam agreed to record new tracks for the band in his new studio, Born Recording Studio, Inc http://bornrecordingstudio.com/ .
The band has since posted their new songs on their myspace site www.myspace.com/theworldawaits and began their summer tour. Other known artists who can credit their success to MySpace include Hawthorne Heights and My Chemical Romance.
