RangerMade Tactical Storms High-Tech MarketProcurement Consultants Lead Research for New Soldier Systems.
MONTANA—(April 11, 2006)
RangerMade operators begin returning this week from several locations in the Mid-East. RangerMade is a Tactical Procurement Consultancy group that conducts private research on innovative soldier support systems. The Annual SOFEX Convention in Amman Jordan provided an outstanding venue for reviewing emerging battlefield concepts and networking with tech-firms seeking to market new technologies. The opportunity positioned Research and Development teams to meet with several other promising vendors in the region.
As a leader in private research for future warrior systems, RangerMade has been inundated with calls and interest in breaking combat technologies. “Project Horizon has dedicated considerable time in the research and procurement of the latest high-end combat technologies with promising application for the individual soldier,” comments Project Director David Jensen. “Our current agenda includes assimilation of new products that have been tested, approved and endorsed. These will need to be added to our existing portfolio and hopefully made available for the spring marketing campaign set to begin this month. We ask for patience as we are making an effort to field these items in as timely manner as possible.”
The past has been devoted largely to performance apparel and textile webbing innovations. Battlefield demands are now placing higher emphasis on electronic tools and renewable warfighter systems. “We do intend to continue to pursue new developments in these areas as well as perfecting our own camouflage concealment designs. However, the immediate demand is for further exploration of next generation body armor, man-portable AC cooling devices, and miniaturized renewable power systems to support the increasing array of hand-held gadgets currently in use,” Jensen remarked.
The preservation of life is paramount in guerilla warfare. The edge given by advanced technologies is proven to increase survivability, and the returns this gives both on the battlefield and the domestic front are immeasurable. A number of new systems will be coming on board this year. RangerMade has stated that items will have to be vetted first through the Special Operations community and private security contractors, but that the civilian market may see several of the latest developments before years end as well.
