VIPBloggers.com - Blogs making internet history.

The U.K.-based Million Dollar Homepage made such a splash that owner, Alex Tew, made headlines along with his million dollars. Tew sells real estate on his homepage for a dollar a pixel. Advertisers must buy a ten by ten pixel square on the page, totaling $100 a square.
While The Million Dollar Homepage has been a brilliant and successful publicity stunt, it lacks the content quality required to drive return traffic. The revenue-model dries up after a few years when the novelty of the idea wears off. Enter Utah-owned and operated VIPbloggers.com.
The site was inspired by the Million Dollar Homepage business model, but entrepreneur Justin Bergener has added new features to VIPbloggers.com that could create greater traffic and community than its predecessor.
“We’re providing updated content on a regular basis,” said founder Justin Bergener. “That’s key to getting return traffic. We’re also building a blogging community. The bloggers are noticing their new neighbors, visiting their blogs and leaving comments. The visual elements mean searching for blogs isn’t obscure like it is on a search engine. You’re no longer hoping someone finds your name from somewhere amongst the 4,000 search results on Google Blog Search or Technorati. It becomes a personalized process and that builds community.”
The Web site has founded its visual appeal with java-script pop-ups built into every blog link on the screen. Run your mouse over the mini-picture and a full size image and description will appear on your screen.
Add the search function at the top of the page to the visual elements, and VIPblogger.com is the most easily navigated directory for blogs on the internet.
Bloggers pay $10 for six months of rent on VIPbloggers.com. The site, launched in mid-March, is already proving its worth with a boost in its own traffic and its customers’.
“We’re reaching out for expert bloggers, so we approve all updates,” said Bergener. “Most pixel ad sites have gambling and pornography ads. We do our best to stay in control so as to maintain a site that has valuable content.”
The future of VIPblogger.com is in geographic grouping of blogs. Soon, users will be able to search the blogs according to state.
“Facebook and MySpace are both built on geographic grouping,” said Bergener. “Locality has been key to building these networking Web sites. VIPblogger will tap into that trend.”
