WaterField Designs Announces Custom-fitted Case for Apple’s iPod Hi-Fi Speaker

San Francisco, CA. – WaterField Designs, a leading maker of custom-fitted computer cases and bags, announced today the newest addition to their popular SleeveCase line, the iPod Hi-Fi Speaker Play-through Case. This case, made of WaterField’s custom blend of ballistic nylon and high-density foam, envelopes itself around the iPod Hi-Fi, letting users carry their new toy in its own protective tote.

WaterField’s iPod Hi-Fi Speaker Case provides a chamber for the iPod Hi-Fi and additional pockets for the iPod and its accessories. The front oval opening lets users play their music without having to take the speaker out of its case. The back has a covered slot at the bottom for plugging in the power cable and the "audio in" jack. To play music out of the case, the front flap tucks in to the rear of the case behind the iPod Hi-Fi speaker to reveal the iPod dock and volume buttons.

To store the iPod Hi-Fi’s accessories, the case comes with five pockets:
- Two padded side pockets store the remote control and power cable that is sold with the iPod Hi-Fi. These pockets have been thoughtfully designed to keep the buttons of the remote control from being compressed, which can drain the battery. The iPod itself and earbuds can also be stored in these side pockets.
- Two inside flap pockets at the top of the case can store thin cables. These flap pockets can be un-zipped so the iPod Hi-Fi can be easily put in or taken out of its case.
- One pocket on the case flap cover can store a WaterField Designs iPod Gear Pouch or other similar accessories.

The case front flap incorporates a solid plate of impact-resistant plastic for protecting the front grill and speakers. A comfortable non-slip shoulder strap helps lighten the load.

"For those who want to cart around the iPod Hi-Fi, this case lets them do it conveniently," explained Gary Waterfield, chief designer. "Now you can have that big sound wherever you want to be—in your hotel room, on a picnic, anywhere."

WaterField Designs also sells an iPod Speaker Case for other smaller portable iPod speakers. As with the iPod Hi-Fi case, these cases are designed to hold the speaker and all its accessories, and can be carried around conveniently or inserted into bags, backpacks, or briefcases.

The iPod Hi-Fi Speaker Case is $149.00, measures 19.5" x 8.0" x 8.0", and weighs 27 ounces (1.7 pounds).

It comes in black ballistic nylon with Lead, Taxi, or Blue Indium trim.
