COMFORTEX WINDOW FASHIONS CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF INNOVATION

MAPLEWOOD, NY - Comfortex Window Fashions, a leading innovative manufacturer and fabricator of custom window treatment products for global distribution, is proud to mark its 20th anniversary in 2006. In the two decades since its founding, Comfortex has grown from a small specialized fabricator to a world renowned industry leader, recognized for high quality products and creative vision.

Comfortex Window Fashions was established in 1986 by Thomas J. Marusak and John Schnebly to adapt insulating cellular shades to residential greenhouses and solariums. They went on to expand the scope of the company beyond motorized track systems to include a variety of window treatment products for the entire home.

Marusak remains at the head of Comfortex and is currently its president. Looking back, he is very pleased with the growth his company has experienced. “Since closing the books on our first year of business, Comfortex has grown by over 400 times in size,” Marusak explained. “We employ nearly 800 people, support three growing facilities in the United States, and ship our products to over 60 countries.”

Marusak and the management team continue to encourage innovation on all levels of operation, including research and development, marketing, manufacturing and fabrication. “We are continuing to work very hard to set precedents of quality and performance in this industry. This commitment has helped distinguish Comfortex among its competitors with over 30 awards from the Window Covering Manufacturers Association (WCMA) for outstanding products and marketing initiatives.
