Four days ago, a new website with big ideas which could set a new internet trend was born! It's called TheLogoHomepage.com"Alex Tew's idea on pixel advertising was fantastic as he has already proved", Zhen Sun explained, “but I honestly don't like the images on the Million Dollar Homepage, because they just make me dizzy.”And I don't think it's money well-spent for most of the advertisers," he continued," especially those who spent less than 400 dollars to get less than 400 px ad space, because it's just too small to be noticed."
Zhen sun has been looking into ways to start his own ADventure inspired by Alex's success. One day, he stumbled upon a picture titled, “Blog 2.0”, created by a “flickrer”, named “Stabilio-Boss”, and that instantly caught his imagination and he started a website called TheLogoHomepage.com. He even coined a term for it – “LogoVertising”!
As the url suggests, the logo homepage will only display logos, no other images will be accepted. "Today there are so many corporations, agencies and other entities using a logo to represent their organizations", he explained," but many have realized that only a few of the thousands of logos people are faced with can be recognized. That's why The Logo Homepage is needed, it's just like a website directory, instead of boring text links, colorful logos are deployed". As they say, a picture's worth a thousand words, and a logo surely weighs just as much if not more, since every single of them are specifically design to fit the organization or brand!
The concept though is simple: Display advertisers’ logos on his frontpage with respective descriptions and links to their websites. "Thelogohomepage.com’s job is to popularize advertiser's logos, sites and their brands".
What’s more, it does not stop there! The part-time tea boy and will-be mathematician-by-trade also wants to make a record with his homepage as the homepage with the most logos, and he called it "Million Logo Homepage".
In terms of pricing, it only costs $10 to submit your logo, yet you get more exposure as the young man is marketing his website extensively.
When asked about if he is doing this to be the next millionaire student thanks to online advertising, he said, "I don't know if I will become one, but I certainly would not mind. And I am sure it'd make a great storyline: “from a tea boy to a millionaire”!
