Personal Trainer Runs Combine for High-School Athletes

Granada Hills, CA – March 21, 2005 – Bremond “Baybay” McClinton of All Sports Speed and Conditioning Program will be running an invitational combine for high-school athletes on Saturday March 25th, 2006 in Granada Hills, Ca. Sponsored by Redbull, the combine is free for athletes and will feature no more than 120 high school underclassmen – sophomores and juniors.

At the combine, these student athletes will work out and test their skills in front of college scouts and coaches. They will demonstrate such skills as their listing vertical, 20 and 40-yard passes, pro-agility run, standard broad jump, bench press 185 pounds, and undergo a position skills test.

Similar in concept to the NFL Scouting Combine held in Indianapolis at the beginning of each spring, the purpose here is the evaluation of these young athletes as prospective college football players. “It’s a great asset for kids that can help them get into college,” says Baybay of the combine. “It gives coaches a great opportunity to see the full athletic prowess of these kids off the football field.”

A former professional NFL athlete who played for the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Oilers in the late eighties and early nineties, Baybay has since become a successful strength trainer. Certified as a Specialist in Sports Conditioning through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), he works with high-profile athletes such as Priest Holmes of the Kansas City Chiefs and N.D. Kalu of the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition, McClinton runs speed and strength camps for kids of all ages several times a year, including an annual summer All Sports Fitness Football Camp with the Pros.

Baybay’s All Sports Speed and Conditioning Program uses today’s latest technology in speed techniques and development, as well as over 20 years of football training experience to prepare college football players for their professional careers, high school athletes for their college careers, and NFL players to be the best of the best. This unique program for developing maximum athletic potential is geared toward college football players who are striving to prepare themselves for an impressive workout in their up and coming combine or Pro day, or for any player who is planning to attend a tryout or a two-day workout and wants to be highly impressive to the coaching staff.

This is the first combine for high school athletes that McClinton has held in California. At his San Antonio combine last year, eight of the student athletes that participated were awarded athletic scholarships to college. “It’s been a blessing,” says Baybay of his work with young athletes.
