Robert Welch University, a new online university in Appleton, Wisconsin is committed to providing the best traditional Liberal Arts education available today based on conservative, Americanist principles. RWU’s unique and well-rounded Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts places special emphasis upon classical languages including Latin, Greek and Biblical Hebrew. The university welcomes homeschooling families who wish to have their children continue to grow in the knowledge and values which they received at home. RWU prides itself on the Home College or College at Home experience. Dual-enrolled high school students who seek college credits or students who wish to take courses for their own enjoyment are also welcome at RWU. Many non-traditional students who could not otherwise obtain the education which they desire find that flexible admission policies and 24/7 availability of the learning environment make RWU a perfect fit for busy lifestyles. The Dean of Robert Welch University, Dr. Lisa St. Louis, recently announced the appointment of two experienced professors of Hebrew, Dr. Danielle Sharon (Modern Hebrew) and Dr. Brian Ashland (Biblical Hebrew). Dr. Sharon brings over 20 years of experience to the position and her own published course material. Dr. Ashland comes highly recommended by his peers for his complex research in the accentuation of ancient Hebrew texts. They will join a faculty of nearly 20 distinguished Adjunct Professors in all areas of Liberal Arts, Mathematics and Science. Dr. Sharon and Dr. Ashland intend to offer 6-week 3-credit online courses in Modern Hebrew and Biblical Hebrew as of June 1, 2006. Various levels and starting dates may be possible based upon student interest and the availability of the professors. The courses will be presented using the university’s innovative Moodle Course Management System. A 6-week course at Robert Welch University is the equivalent of a 12-week semester at traditional colleges. RWU is approved to grant the Associate’s Degree by the Educational Approval Board of Wisconsin. Upon successful course completion, college credits will be granted by RWU’s Registrar. Requests to transfer credit from your home institution to RWU will be assessed on a case by case basis. Please contact the Registrar, Mr. David Spilker at 800-241-2882 to register for these courses and be sure to specify which level(s) you require.
