Boom! Magazine Announces New Managing Editor
Marcy Hege To Head Monthly Publication

CARY, N.C. – Greg and Barbara Petty, publishers of Boom!, have announced Marcy Hege, current executive director of International Focus, Inc., will serve as the managing editor for Boom! Magazine, a monthly publication targeted to today’s active adult population. In this position, Hege will be responsible for coordinating all editorial content and maintaining the goals that the publishers have established: to be a lifestyle resource for today's active adult.

"We are confident that Marcy will be able to bring some fresh ideas to Boom!" says Petty. "While we want to continue to be a magazine of relevant content and not fluff, it's always good to have new thoughts and approaches. About Marcy Hege:
Marcy Hege is the managing editor of Boom! Magazine, a monthly publication targeted to today’s active adult population. She is the executive director of International Focus, Inc., a nonprofit arts organization that produces Raleigh’s International Festival. Prior to her nine-year tenure with International Focus, Inc., Hege owned and operated an association management firm for 12 years. In all her previous endeavors, Hege acquired extensive marketing, publishing and public relations experience. She earned her bachelor’s degree in public policy from Duke University in 1975. Hege received her Certified Association Executive designation from the American Society of Association Executives in 1981. She serves on the board of directors for the Women’s Club of Raleigh, the Raleigh Garden Club, Friendship Force and Assistance League of Raleigh.
