Future Publishing magazine Practical Web Design runs competition with Web analytics agency WebtraffIQ for £10,000 prize
——Begins——
Web analytics agency WebtraffIQ http://www.webtraffiq.com has teamed up with Future Publishing’s Practical Web Design magazine http://www.pwdmag.co.uk for its first Web measurement competition.
One successful entrant will win WebtraffIQ’s Web analytics software and service for one-year (including WebtraffIQ Reporter, WebtraffIQ Analyser and WebtraffIQ Alerts). The prize has an estimated retail value of over £10,000.
During the twelve month period, WebtraffIQ will work closely with the competition winner to ensure the service is matched closely to the winner's site goals. The prize also includes a small amount of consultancy and analysis to suggest improvements to the form and function of the Website, its advertising and other communications (e.g. email and viral marketing).
Marcos Richardson, European director at WebtraffIQ explains, “At WebtraffIQ we have always maintained that all Website owners should know more about what transpires throughout their Web pages regardless of them being SMEs or large organisations. Because designers hold the reigns in the creation, design, development and re-design of Web projects, we wanted to educate them to the power of insight and real-time data using a service that delivers design, user-centred design and Web development information.
However, Web analytics supplies more invaluable business, marketing and sales information from traditional offline media than just Web statistics, all of which can be factored into how a brand presents itself online. The impact of various business activities can be monitored using Web analytics, and WebtraffIQ feels it’s important to reinforce this message - especially to design specialists.”
“Although Web designers and developers use an array of tools and skills to create sites, Web analytics provides information on how a site performs, and enables you to make improvements based on these findings. Building and launching a Website is just the beginning, and we’re delighted to be able to offer one lucky reader this great opportunity to improve their site,” adds Dan Oliver, editor of Practical Web Design magazine.
The WebtraffIQ and Practical Web Design competition was arranged by Elemental Communications, the integrated media communications consultancy. The competition is available to UK business only. The competition appears in issue 26 of Practical Web Design, which is on sale now and is available at all good newsagents / bookstores.
