"News : Jain communities most prestigious International award announced. Jain Friends Association, Pune has announced it's most prestigious Prerana International awards for Active Jains at International Level honouring most promising active dignities of Jain community throughout world .

1.Acharya Kundkund Award (2 Awards) - Anybody who is propagating Jain philosophy through lectures, writings or electronic media is eligible for this award.
2. Karmveer Award - This award is for those who are working in the field of education and social upliftment.
3. Jain of the year (For the year 2005) - This award is offered to any Jain who have done a great work in any field of life in the year 2005.
4. Ahimsa Award - This award is especially for those who are working for promotion of Ahimsa & Vegetarianism.
5. Jain Asmita Award - Anybody who is working for the pride and honor of Jain community is eligible to get this award.
Pune: Committee declared Jain Friends International Prerana Awards.
List of Honoured dignities is as below:
Shri Pankaz Chandmal Hingarh/Hingad (Mumbai, India) bagged Jain Asmita Award for his research in Jain history and awakening Jains for preservation of their rich heritage.
Ahimsa Award was bagged by Shri Saurabh Dalal (USA) for his devotion to promoting Veganism and vegetarianism.
Achraya Kundkund award was declared to Shri Sreepalan VC (Bangkok) and Shri Pravin K Shah (USA) for promoting Jainism through electronic media.
Jain of The Year Award went to Shri Shantilalji Mutha (Pune, India) for his work in Tsunami affected area.
We did not find any eligible person for the Karmveer Award for the work in the field of education and Social upliftment.
