Where do you go when you know what you WANT to say, but you're not quite sure HOW to say it? How do you express thought and feeling? Especially when it's stuck? Maybe you’re looking for an extra special gift or you have a speech to make? Maybe you want to say some long overdue words to someone you love? Or even to someone you've broken up with? The answer it seems, is poetry and specifically, A Gift of Poetry.More and more people are turning to poetry to express their innermost feelings. A phenomenon born of the Internet age, bespoke poetry is becoming "the thing to do", especially for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, births, graduations and any other special occasion, including, sadly, funerals. Allen Jesson, founder of A Gift of Poetry goes onto explain: "A Gift of Poetry creates the structure, the excuse if you like, to say all the things that you should have said but, for whatever reason…haven’t. You know after 10 years of marriage, it can be difficult to come up with new ways of saying "I love you" or "thank you". This is an EXTRA special way of doing so. In fact, there is definite magic in poetry as the memory of this special gift lasts a lot longer than a bunch of flowers, or even a diamond ring." Allen goes on: "Whether it's the rhythm, the rhyme or the structured meaning, I don't know, but I do know that A Gift of Poetry inspires the heart and touches the soul. Even after writing over 2,000 poems (has any other poet ever written so many, is this a world record?) I am still amazed at the uniqueness of each and every creation. You see everyone is different, with their own individual story, their own thoughts and feelings, this is what makes A Gift of Poetry, so unique, so "one of a kind".
