POET ANASTASIA CLARK- POETRY READING at BROWARD COMMUNITY COLLEGE CAMPUS

ANASTASIA CLARK, poet, announces she will be doing a poetry reading as part of the "Diverse Voices: A Poetry Read-in @ your library" program, hosted by South Regional / Broward Community College Library on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 6:30pm. The library is located at 7300 Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024.Tel: 954-201-8825. The event is free and open to the public.

Clark will be reading from a variety of her books published by Sun Rising Poetry Press, including Grieving With Poetry- poems written after the death of her parents, Bloodsongs- poetry about women’s issues, Skeletons and Other Complaints- poetry about life’s challenges, Vagabond Pond- poems about feeling like a vagabond, and Electric Petticoats- poetry celebrating the spicier side of life. She will be also be autographing books.

Clark (Moore) grew up in Framingham, MA, where she served as Poet-In-Residence to the Framingham Public Schools during 1977-78. She served in the U. S. Marine Corps and also completed a Master of Science in Administration. She currently resides in Miramar, FL (Broward County).

Her work has appeared in numerous literary magazines: Southlit, Outsider Ink, Sunpiper Press Literary Review, Penwomanship, The Ultimate Hallucination, Ascent Aspirations, Wilmington Blues, VOiCE, Scrivener’s Pen, Spillway Review, Subtletea and Adagio Verse Quarterly. Her poem “Old Volcanoes,” was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. During 2001-2003 Clark served as Poetry Editor and Poetry Columnist for Epiphany Magazine: a celebration in writing.

Clark has recently appeared at Borders Bookstores and was also featured in an article by Eileen Soler, The Miami Herald in October 2005.

In addition to the full-length titles listed above, Clark is also the author of the POETRY PETALS collection- which is also published by Sun Rising Poetry Press. The themed booklets are designed for gift and floral baskets and feature vibrant cover art by Donette Smock. Some of the titles include Healing Poems, Inspirational Poems, Romantic Poems, Nostalgic Poems and Humorous Poems.
