Hope For Vision, Live! to Premiere Descriptive Audio for Theatre in South Florida at North Miami Beach Benefit on April 24th.

The performance taking place at the North Miami Beach Theater of the Performing Arts at 17011 NE 19th Avenue in North Miami Beach on Monday, April 24th at 7:30pm, will feature top comedy acts, musicians and dancers coming together for this worthy cause. And now the visually impaired in the audience will be able to enjoy the show as well through the use of Descriptive Audio.

“This is truly a historic moment in South Florida theatre,” said event creator Susie Taylor. “With VSA Arts of Florida joining the team and providing Descriptive Audio, they are ushering in a new era for theatre going for the visually impaired.”

VSA Arts of Florida strives to create a society where people with disabilities can learn through, participate in and enjoy the arts. In addition to providing the Descriptive Audio for the event, VSA Arts will also run a seminar the day after the show to train local operators on how to run Descriptive Audio. Through their efforts, many events beyond this one may have Descriptive Audio as part of their offerings.

Hope for Vision, Live! “Illegally Blind” will feature live performances by some of South Florida’s most talented entertainers as they unite to raise money and awareness, and to change the way you see things. Slated to perform at the show are The Green Room, DJ Le Spam, the Laughing Gas Improv Theatre Company, THEY improv, Peter Fogel, Steve Gladstone, Crescendo and many more. In addition, MadTV’s Keegan Michael Key and the Miami Heat Dancers will be performing taking the show to a higher level.
