The presentation will be based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology IT risk assessment methodology, which is widely used by skilled practitioners. This methodology provides a comprehensive approach that can be adopted for IT risk assessment in virtually any industry.

David is a Senior IT Audit Manager with Control Solutions and has expert knowledge in evaluating the integrity, effectiveness, and reliability of internal controls, as well as defining organizational security requirements. He has significant experience with wide area networks, network operating systems, storage area networks, desktop computing, anti-virus operations, firewalls, virtual private networks, routing, and business continuity planning. David also has in-depth understanding of the Federal IT Security Framework, ISO 17799, COSO, and COBIT. He is able to assist corporations with developing an appropriate framework, or reviewing the controls within an existing infrastructure to ensure regulatory compliance. In addition, David is a thought leader in the audit profession and is often requested to speak at conferences and teach at seminars.
