LEGENDARY PRODUCER JONATHAN KRANE AND KRANE PRODUCTIONS FLY WITH THE INAUGRUAL FILM MARKET IN PALM BEACH

Los Angeles/Palm Beach – Industry veteran Jonathan Krane and Krane Productions have taken major strides in establishing an international film market in Palm Beach County, which is set to debut in 2007.

The brainchild of Krane, the film market in Palm Beach County was spawned from his vision of turning Palm Beach into a viable alternative to Hollywood. Most recently Krane, who relocated to the area, also established the Krane Academy of Motion Pictures in West Palm Beach.

“After spending more than 25 years in the film industry I have learned many lessons and gained tremendous insights into all aspects of the business as well as what works and what does not,” said Krane who believes Palm Beach has all the necessary ingredients to become a hub for the art and businesses of filmmaking. “A film market in Palm Beach will fill a void in the industry and will work.”

Currently in discussions with a major media sponsor, Krane and his team are also working on the specifics necessary to bring their plan to fruition such as securing a venue as well as collaborating with producers, distributors and other entertainment industry executives.

“We have carefully selected a prime location for what will become a staple in the film market universe,” added Krane. It is a very exciting time as we put the pieces of the puzzle together to provide a much needed option for the film industry while raising worldwide awareness of Palm Beach.”

According to Palm Beach County Film Commissioner Chuck Elderd “Palm Beach is thrilled with the development of the film market and are supportive and appreciative of the talented and creative team who has been working for more than a year on bringing this to fruition.”

The film market is a private venture which is set to attract buyers and sellers from around the world.

For more than 30 years, Jonathan Krane has remained a consistent force in the world of feature filmmaking. In addition to founding The Krane Academy of Motion Pictures and writing the new textbook, “A Revolutionary Approach to the Art and Science of Moviemaking: A Treatise on Fixing the Accidental Industry,” Krane currently serves as CEO of The Krane Group.
