South Suburban Publishing Company Hosts Second Annual Writer’s Conference & Author’s Showcase

Dolton, IL – February 20, 2006 – Write The Vision Publishing, a Dolton based company, presents a dynamic one-day conference for authors and aspiring authors.

The Writer’s Conference & Author’s Showcase will be presented on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at the Charter One Bank Building located at 1400 Torrence Avenue in Calumet City, IL.

Popular Chicago Pastor and Author Rev. Jerald January, Sr. will present the workshop entitled, Getting Your Book Published. Rev. January is the Senior Pastor of the historic Vernon Park Church of God on the South Side of Chicago. He is the author or several books including: A Messed Up Ride Or A Dressed Up Walk, A Second Time and The Life Advance Curriculum Volumes One & Two.

Dolton Business Owner and Professional Speaker, Ron Garner will present the workshop entitled, Getting Your Book Marketed. Mr. Garner is the owner of Group Design Associates located in Dolton, IL, a member of Toastmasters and the author of the highly acclaimed If The Dream Is Big Enough, The Facts Don’t Count which has had several printings and remains in high demand.

The conference offers three workshop tracks, Getting Your Book Started, focusing on the organization and craft of writing; Getting Your Book Published, focusing on the pros and cons of traditional and self publishing; Getting Your Book Marketed focusing on making the public aware of your book and increasing sales. The one day event is for aspiring, emerging and published authors of every age and skill level, working in all genres and forms.
