HungryFlix.com Stocking the Site With Great Content!

South Pasadena, CA —February 17, 2006 —HungryFlix.com, the Internet’s first distributor of premium, independent video content exclusively targeted to portable media players such as iPods and PSPs, is open for free membership and content downloading!

Industry estimates place global sales of Sony PSPs in the 14 million unit range. Similarly, consumers snapped up 14 millions iPod devices during the holiday quarter. If that isn’t enough Pocket PC’s will soon be able to play the Mpeg4 format used by iPods and PSP’s. There are over 50 million Pocket PC players in circulation.

HungryFlix.com just signed up Tempe DVD which boasts a fantastic catalog of huge indie cult hits such as “Townies”, and “Dead and Rotting”. Basulto is in the process of converting the catalog now into the proper format. Also on board is award winning filmmaker Lisa Hammer, whose film “Crawley” has had rave reviews from such places as Film Threat. “We are getting some very entertaining content” Basulto says. Basulto hosts the HungryFlix Podcast, where he interviews the filmmakers who have content on the site. “I like to educate our members who are interested in how films get made” Basulto said. Basulto, a 16 year entertainment industry veteran, also hosts the popular Filmmaking Central Podcast.

Content providers set the prices of their downloads, so they’re always in control of their revenue. HungryFlix.com handles all hosting, marketing and technical assistance issues and prides itself on providing outstanding customer service. In exchange, the company takes only a 40% cut of the download price, meaning 60% goes directly into the content provider’s pocket.
