IT Hiring explodes with over 56,800 new IT jobs created according to Janco

Park City – UT – www.e-janco.com – The IT Job Market continues to be bullish. CIOs are optimistic and do not see any slowing in their hiring of staff, outside contractors, and consultants. Even though there still are more position openings than qualified professionals available to fill them, the candidate pool is large enough for recruiters to find qualified candidates. Janco has seen a slight increase in attrition rates due to more active recruiting and the compression of pay grades for some key positions.

The CEO of Janco Associates, Inc., Mr. M. Victor Janulaitis said, "Overall hiring for IT Professionals remains at a record-setting pace. The rate of increase in the number of new IT positions is up slightly with between 8,100 to 8,800 new IT jobs created in each of the last 3 months. There have been 56,800 new IT Jobs created year to date. That is 8,500 more new jobs than were added when compared to the same seven-month period of 2018." He added, "A number of CIOs we interviewed, as part of the release of our Mid-Year 2019 IT Salary Survey, did voice a note of caution. They were not quite sure what the impact of the looming trade war China would be and the lack of approval for the new US/Canada/Mexico trade deal (USMCA)."

Janulaitis said, "The number of new jobs created continues unabated. Most of the new positions created are beyond those of traditional business analysts and programmers. With the emphasis on getting data closers to those who need it, applications being developed are mobile and designing user interfaces that comply with the latest security and privacy mandates is a priority. New skill sets are being recruited. Legacy processing is taking a back seat."

The CEO added, "IT Governance processes are gaining in importance as the scope of the IT function continues to expand into more operational areas of the enterprise.
