The Undercroft Announces Grand Opening Highlighting Two Founding Member Companies

Tampa, FL – 6/25/2019 – As the Undercroft continues its march to make Ybor City a cybersecurity hub, they are introducing two early residents that have been quietly operating out of their facility for the past several months.

"Our members, residents and partners span the spectrum of 'cyber' and our efforts to date would not have been possible without them," says Undercroft founder Adam Sheffield. He and his team have worked diligently to target and attract individuals and organizations that can provide a solid foundation on which to build a community driven security ecosystem, known as cYbor, in Tampa's historic district.

"Blackhorse Solutions and Fraud Doctor are two of the Undercroft's early residents. With 50+ founding members, each individual and organization bring specific cybersecurity skills to the fight. Two of our current four residents are headquartered out of state and decided to make the Undercroft home to their regional offices because of our unique community driven approach. This further validates our community's potential to create a sizeable economic impact in the region," added Sheffield.

"The opportunity to work in historic Ybor City with a technology and security focused partner like the Undercroft was too good to pass up. Ybor City provides a central location for our team and customers to meet and collaborate. The Undercroft is spearheading the charge to grow the cyber community in Ybor, and BlackHorse is proud to be a core member of the cYbor movement," says BlackHorse Technical Director Kris Howard.

Alexis Bell, the Founder and Managing Partner of Fraud Doctor says "We picked the Undercroft at historic El Pasaje in Ybor City because we loved the feel of the place and it's history of gritty, charismatic, innovative leadership. It resonated with who we are as people. We committed as the first resident at the Undercroft because, like the founders, we also see the opportunity for a different kind of connectivity between academia, public and private partners where this initiative can be a focal point for these players to come together more cohesively to offer its citizens and the community the benefits of its integrated expertise."

With a few offices and desks remaining for new residents, staff at the Undercroft are focused on growing membership and achieving stretch goals through their Kickstarter campaign.
