"You Climb a Tree, We'll Plant a Tree!" Says The Adventure Park at Storrs, Connecticut for Arbor Day Weekend April 26 – 28, 2019

The Adventure Park at Storrs, the popular outdoor zip line and climbing venue located at 2007 Storrs Road, is hosting its annual "Arbor Day Weekend Count-Off" starting this Friday. For every climber at The Adventure Park from Friday April 26 through Sunday, April 28, 2019, it will contribute one dollar to the Arbor Day Foundation. For each dollar the Foundation will plant a tree. The Adventure Park sums it up simply: "You climb a tree, we'll plant a tree." So, one person climbing means one tree will be planted. A family of four climbing means four trees are planted. And so on. Every climber counts!
Special tickets are not needed to participate. Anyone climbing at The Adventure Park during the three Arbor Day weekend dates will be counted towards the Park's donation.
Since 2015, The Adventure Park at Storrs, along with the other Adventure Parks operated by the Outdoor Venture Group, have donated $13,917 to the Arbor Day Foundation. This means climbers at these Parks have planted 13,917 trees in our national forests.
Tickets to climb during Arbor Day Weekend (or any time) at The Adventure Park can be reserved online at www.StorrsAdventurePark.com. For further information email Info@StorrsTrees.com or call (860) 946-0606. On Facebook: @StorrsAdventurePark.
- About The Adventure Park -
The Adventure Park at Storrs can boast the most zip lines in the entire Hartford, Connecticut region —- 19 zip lines in all, including its new "Pine Rush" aerial trail—- a mostly-zip-lines aerial trail which debuted last season. The other seven trails offer the Park's exciting combination experience of climbing adventure with zip lines. One ticket buys admission to all trails.
The Adventure Park features a special combination experience of challenge bridges combined with zip lines between the trees that keep people coming back for more. The Park's friendly staff is available to answer questions and assist from the moment customers arrive to the moment they conclude their climb and return home with satisfied "I did it!" smiles.
The Adventure Park is not one single aerial treetop trail but a variety of different, color-coded aerial trails of differing challenge levels—beginner through expert—that climbers choose from depending on their age or climbing experience. There are trails suitable for kids, teens, adults and groups. These trails consist of platforms installed in the trees and connected by various configurations of cable, wood and rope to form "crossings" of different kinds including the ever-popular zip lines. Climbers wear harnesses which are doubly secured to safety cables using the Park's "always locked on" system of interlocking safety clips. Before venturing onto the trails climbers receive an interactive orientation and practice session.
