Gina Quartermaine Wins First Place for Song Lyrics

Alexandria,VA February 16, 2006 — Gina Quartermaine of Alexandria, VA has won 1st prize in the International Narrative Song Competition in the Narrative Lyrics / Romantic Love category for her lyrics entitled "Prelude to Passion". Narrative lyric entries were judged on the merits of original story quality. She is an award winning songwriter who is also an award winning poet and playwright. One of her works entitled “At Last…” has recently been produced as a film. Gina has a BS in communications from American University in Washington, DC has studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City and excelled in playwriting at Oxford University in England. She is profiled Marquis Who’s Who of American Women, 25th Anniversary Edition as well as two other editions. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), the Dramatists Guild, AFTRA and is a member of BMI.
