Mobile, AL Author Publishes Christian Memoir

The Christian's Path to Power, a new book by D. R. Cooper, has been released by RoseDog Books.

The author states that his zeal for the less fortunate was prompted by the following scripture: "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'" (Matthew 25:40).

The author candidly admits that there have been many successes and a few failures on his journey. The successes were due to following the lead of the Holy Spirit. The failures were the result of his own poor choices.

The author proclaims the following mission statement for the book: If one senior believer regains the joy of their salvation, or if a believer, young in the faith, utilizes the information in the book to avoid future pitfalls in their journey, the author will consider this endeavor to be a success.

About the Author
D. R. Cooper is a Christian layman and lives in Mobile, Alabama. This book is the result of over fifty years of life experience as a Christian and what he has gleaned from the study of the Holy Scripture. Some of those experiences are: Sunday school teacher, Sunday school director, and initiating and working a Sunday school extension program for the poor and elderly shut-ins in the public housing projects.

Cooper has worked with drug addicts and alcoholics in a rehab setting for many years. He has also worked with the homeless by helping them in a monetary way, and, at the same time, proclaiming the Gospel on a face-to-face basis. So he has "spent his time in the trenches," as it were.
