Park City UT) - Janco Associates (https://www.e-janco.com) has just completed its annual review of 875 DR/BC plans. 19% of the organizations surveyed had to activate part or all of their DR/BC plan at least once over the past 12 months for part or all of the organization.Mr. Janulaitis the CEO of Janco Associates, Inc. said, "There has been a 3% improvement in the overall quality of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans that were activated in the past 12 months. The only area where there was not an improvement in the quality of the DR/BC plans was in recovery from system hacking breaches and meeting privacy and security mandated requirements. Much of that is due to the recent EU's GDPR mandate and increased activity by hackers with new types of breaches impacting social networking accounts."
Janco utilized its recently updated Risk Assessment Business & IT Impact Questionnaire to gather the data on the quality of the plans. 875 organization submitted copies of their BIA forms. Janco then followed up with interviews of the individuals who provided the completed questionnaires.
The BIA Questionnaire is available as a standalone item. In addition, it is included with the standard version of the Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Template, the Security Manual Template and every one of its Auditing, Compliance, and Management Infrastructure product bundles.
