About the Author
Poet and undiscovered playwright Bruce D. Thornton is a native of Annapolis, Maryland. He received his early education in the Anne Arundel County School System. Bruce completed his baccalaureate degree in 1987 from Morehouse College, where he received a B.S. in Psychology.

Bruce retired from the Prince George's County Health Department in the Division of Epidemiology. He was a consummate investigator.

Bruce's interests include choreographing for the New Wave of Entertainment and performing for thirteen years with Kankouran West African Dance Company, under the direction of Assane Konte. Currently he is serving his community as a high school substitute teacher for Anne Arundel County, Maryland. "It is my belief," he said, "all of my life I was destined to be a part of the creative arts." But Bruce had a mother who would always say, "Boy, you better focus on bringing a steady paycheck coming in this house." Bruce is sixty-two now. He believes it's never too late to dream.
