Luisella Foods Kickstarts the launch of their Nutritious, Nut Free, Chocolate Spreads with Kickstarter Campaign!

BARRIE, Ontario — Luisella Foods Inc, the innovative producer of a new line of nutritious and nut-free chocolate spreads kicked off their product launch in Barrie, Ontario last Thursday with party to announce their Kickstarter campaign. Within 48 hours, we had reached 25% of the campaign!

Luisella Foods, Inc will make four flavours of chocolate spread made from real chocolate and healthful protein-rich sunflower seeds, with no added sugars. The product is completely nut-free, as well as gluten free, palm oil free and high in fibre, making it a natural choice for school lunches.

Founder and CEO of Luisella Foods, Patricia Di Chiara, set out to make the nut-free spreads upon arriving in Canada after living around the world including her home country of Italy where wholesome eating and nurturing through food is deeply entrenched in the fabric of Italian living. When she sent her son to school with a traditional chocolate spread she was dismayed that she had potentially threatened the wellbeing of another student who suffered from severe allergies. An idea sparked for Patricia, a trained and certified chef, to create a healthful and nut-free alternative not only for her children but for everyone impacted in an increasingly necessary allergen-free landscape. Luisella Foods was born.

Reflecting on the motivation behind Luisella, Di Chiara says, "Many of my best memories were sitting at the table watching my mother prepare beautiful meals for her family with love, I am so thrilled to have found a way to do the same here in Canada for my family and for so many others, making wholesome and delicious food that is safe for our loved ones. We took our time to get it right and it shows in the taste; our spreads are made with best ingredients… real chocolate, nutritious sunflower seeds…and love! Founded in 2017, Luisella is set to launch into full-scale production and has launched the Kickstarter campaign to help build our social media presence with this next step. Kickstarter is an fundraising platform aim at giving new product ideas a start through online crowd funding. The campaign is open to anyone around the world and provides an opportunity for early supporters to try the product first and 'kickstart' our Luisella brand recognition across Canada.
