The Book Store on Lexington Avenue, a new book by Calvin E. Tyrrell, has been released by RoseDog Books.The Book Store on Lexington Avenue is a mystery crime novel about two older men who have been lifelong friends. They own a huge book store. The mastermind of the store ventures out to murder other book store owners and book collectors to steal their stock and collections. The other gentleman is a master forger and can copy rare books to be sold in the U.S. and overseas that his partner brings in by the truckload. Only the FBI can bring them to justice.
About the Author
Calvin E. Tyrrell was born in Endicott, New York, in September 1941. His family moved to Rhode Island in 1948 where he attended school. He served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1966 and has an Honorable Discharge. He was married in 1962. He had two children and moved his family to Florida in 1971 where they still reside. He also has a degree in Business Management.
In Florida, Cal, as he is known to his friends, held a Real Estate Broker's License, owned two Real Estate offices and was a Notary Public for many years. He is past President of the Osceola County Board of Realtors, past Director of the Florida Association of Realtors, past President of the Osceola Writer's Club and past District Manager of United Agencies. He served on the East Central Florida Regional Planning Advisory Council. He is a co-founder of the Osceola County Wagon Train & Trail Ride Inc. and served as its president for five years, vice president three more years and Director for thirteen years. He retired from Osceola County Property Appraiser's Office in 2002 where he worked as a residential appraiser for over 15 years.
Cal is a member of the Osceola County Historical society. He served on the County's Centennial Committee and three years later he was Vice Chairman of the Osceola County's Courthouse Centennial Committee. He wrote the official County Song and another for the Courthouse Centennial Committee and recorded them. He has received several awards for his efforts in his writing of poetry, short stories and music. With his varied background in personal experiences, he has an almost never-ending list of stories to tell.
