VirtualViewer HTML5 Accelerates Workflow with Document Comparison

Waltham, MA (April 17, 2018) - Snowbound Software, the market leader in document viewing technology, today announced the addition of Document Comparison to VirtualViewer®, the firm's award-winning pure HTML5, web-based document viewer.

The latest version of VirtualViewer® HTML5 (v4.11) allows users to compare two different text documents to each other side-by-side in a split screen and navigate through the highlighted differences.

When utilizing the Document Comparison feature, the user is able to see the differences between the two documents displayed page-by-page in the sidebar, as well as click on a specific difference to scroll directly to where that text is located on the page.

Additional tools within the document compare feature include:

The ability to toggle the highlighting of differences within the documents on and off

The ability to lock document scrolling so the two documents scroll in tandem

The ability to generate an HTML "diff report" of every difference between the two documents

In addition to Document Comparison, Version 4.11 of VirtualViewer HTML5 introduces improved API calls for OEM use (a new single API method for setting callbacks and a new callback manager), as well as the ability to copy annotations across documents within the viewer.
