Heart Adventures with PuppyGirl: The Lake is the first book in a series written to promote a "together life" between children and their "BigBestFriend." The author's goal is to make sure children know that Jesus is with them all the time, every day, ready to share His love and grace.

About the Author
Barbara A. Johns is a retired registered nurse, having spent 33 years in the field. Her last 13 years were spent providing pain and symptom management to Hospice patients in northern California. Traveling from her home town in Pennsylvania to work there, she was inspired to write the books. In addition to writing, Johns is a public speaker, sharing her belief that knowing the love of Jesus can alleviate children's fears that are faced in this ever challenging world. When she is not writing, Johns enjoys hiking, poetry and Ballroom dancing. She is currently working to attain her bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies/Theology. Her constant companion, Abby (better known as PuppyGirl!) is always ready to impart her unconditional love to others they met along the way. Abby is a registered therapy dog who enjoys meeting children and people from all walks of life.
