Academic Studies Abroad Announces New Program in Seville, Spain

Boston, MA — February 8, 2006 – Academic Studies Abroad (ASA), a leader in study abroad programs to Spain, England, France, Italy, and Ireland today announced an affiliation with Centro Andaluz de Estudios Empresariales (CEADE), a private university located in Seville, Spain.

Traditionally, American students who were not advanced enough at Spanish to enroll at the Universidad de Sevilla were left having to take courses with other Americans. Said Lee Frankel, Director of Academic Studies Abroad, “This new partnership will allow American students the opportunity to take classes in English, while still enrolling in a Spanish university.”

In addition to Spanish language courses, the students will have the opportunity to take electives in English in subjects such as Spanish Literature, Spanish Film, and International Business.

Credits for the new program will be issued by Winthrop University, a fully accredited American university.
