Megan Cunniff Church Named to Crain's Chicago Business's 40 Under 40

Megan Cunniff Church, an acclaimed federal prosecutor, joined MoloLamken in September 2017 as a partner in the Chicago office. Immediately prior to joining the firm, Ms. Church served as Deputy Chief of the Financial Crimes Section of the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois. In nine years as an Assistant United States Attorney, she investigated and prosecuted business crime, public corruption, financial fraud, narcotics violations, and organized crime. Her notable cases included the successful prosecution of the former Chicago Public Schools CEO, Barbara Byrd-Bennett. While a federal prosecutor, Church tried 16 cases and was involved in a number of appeals.

Previously, she clerked for the Honorable William J. Bauer of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the Honorable Joan H. Lefkow of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She also worked as an associate with Baker McKenzie.
