December 12, 2017 - From Cottonfields to Clouds, a new book by G. T. Childs, Chief Master Sergeant, U. S. Air Force, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

In this autobiography, G. T. Childs, a member of "The Greatest Generation," tells the story of the first seventeen years of his life in a small community in East Texas.

Through one engaging tale after another, Childs gives readers a feel for what life was like for one boy growing up in the 1920s and '30s. About the Author
After graduating from high school, G. T. Childs entered the U.S. Air Force in 1939, retiring as a chief master sergeant in 1962. The World War II veteran also became a professional home builder and started a poultry growing operation with his wife, and helped their three children get into the same business.
