SharkBoys, a new book by Laurie Krueger, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

SharkBoys captures the adventures of 3 teenage sharks and their rookie rock band in a new underwater series that makes learning about the ocean fun, created by ocean lover and enthusiast Laurie Krueger. Set in "Coral reef County", The SharkBoys, a clever and mischievous band of friends: Max, Joe, and Nick are on a mission to save their watery world – one ocean at a time – from pollution and oil spills brought on by their rivals, Croc the creepy crocodile and his cronies. SharkBoys is a fun colorful book and is an entertaining tool to teach children about the preservation of our oceans and its creatures led by a cast of characters that both boys and girls would love.

About the Author:
Laurie Krueger originally from Blue Island IL, hadn't seen the ocean until her early thirties when a job offer brought her to Malibu, CA. An instant connection with the ocean inspired her with creative explosions of characters and stories of and about the underwater world. Her fond memories of the Flintstones and its cleverness were transformed into a realistic fantasy world based upon the sea creatures and their environment. Her desire is to educate children about the ocean and its creatures in a way that will not only delight but will entertain them as well. This all inspired the book SharkBoys! About the Illustrator:
Rex Perry is a world-class illustrator and designer, having worked for high-end fashion houses, large retailers, consumer products companies, and the Walt Disney Company. His signature flair is on full display in a new children's series of cartoon books by Laurie Krueger. Perry is a native of Chicago, a graduate from School of the Art Institute of Chicago, American Academy of Art, Parsons School of Design (Los Angeles) and Altos de Chavon (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic), where he studied under famed fashion illustrator, Antonio Lopez. Perry currently resides in Pasadena, CA, with his wife and two children.
