Beverly Edwards Named Chief Operating Officer of First Transit

September 26, 2017 - CINCINNATI – First Transit, a leader in providing mobility solutions, announces the promotion of Beverly Edwards to chief operating officer, reporting directly to Brad Thomas, president.

In this newly created position, Edwards will be responsible for the direction and oversight of all transit contracting and transit management daily operations. Edwards will focus her efforts on improving operational performance for our customers, delivering safe and disciplined operations through the use of key performance metrics, and innovative technology. All operating regions, information technology, and compliance will also report to Edwards.

Edwards joined First Transit in 2007 and most recently served as senior vice president for the central region. A graduate of Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pa., Edwards is a member of the Business Digest Advisory Committee, and a longtime member of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).

First Transit will be at the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Expo Conference in Atlanta, Ga., from October 8 through October 11 at booth 8067.
