BEND, OR - High Desert Naturals, Inc., Bend, Oregon, launched their environmentally friendly home furnishings line this January. Inspired from their work in the organic apparel industry, and the increasing popularity of organics, founders Jennifer Calderazzo and Geri Wilson designed their own line of bed sheets, duvet covers, shams and shower curtains made with 100% organic cotton. Organic cotton is an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional cotton because it is not grown or processed with pesticides, insecticides or harsh chemicals. Aside from organics, color and prints are an important part of HDN’s design philosophy. They are optimistic that this philosophy, coupled with their quality products, will help establish organic textiles in the mainstream home furnishings industry.
“Retailers are always trying to find new ways to capture the attention of consumers and HDN’s organic home furnishings line is the perfect way to accomplish that. Not only is it a unique story, but it is environmentally friendly, giving consumers a worthwhile reason to spend their hard earned dollars” states Jennifer Calderazzo, President of HDN.
High Desert Naturals debuted their line at Atlanta’s International Gift and Home Furnishing Market this January, and recently attended the Good Earth Home, Garden and Living Show in Eugene, Oregon. “We were ecstatic with the buyer response we received in Atlanta, and the consumer interest generated by the Eugene show was rewarding. We look forward to continuing our mission to re-define comfort.” said Calderazzo.
