In BF McKnight's Mango the Rescue Chihuahua, Julian and his Grandmother travel to the animal shelter looking to adopt a special dog in need of a home. They see a Foxhound, a Great Dane, and even a Sheltie, but Mango is the dog with whom both Julian and his Grandmother felt a connection. However, once they leave the animal shelter, Julian soon realizes that taking care of a dog is a big responsibility.
This lovable story is about a real Chihuahua that McKnight rescued. She wants to educate children about rescuing pets and the work that needs to be done to make their new pet happy in its new home.

BF McKnight has owned dogs all of her life. They have always been important members of her family. She has raised four children who love not only dogs, but just about all animals. Now, their children love animals as well.
