Defense Contracting Activity Awarded $6.9 Million Dollar National Security Protective Services Contract

Mclean, VA, August 1, 2017 – Defense Contracting Activity (DCA) is proud to announce the award of a multi-year armed protective services contract from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in Ames, Iowa.

The project is a Level IV critical infrastructure facility and the highest security facility throughout the 29 federal agencies operating under the USDA umbrella. The campus is approximately 460 acres and its occupants represent over 1000 federal employees conducting sensitive work with worldwide applications.

The DCA team will be the cognizant facility law enforcement team with a First Responder role and collaborative position with federal, state, and local response authorities. The project will commence on September 1, 2017.
