British Columbia Author and Teenager Publishes Children's Book

May 24, 2017 - Kate the Great, a new book by Leanne Van Dongen, has been released by RoseDog Books.

When Ms. Grumpet announces that there is going to be a talent show at gemstone Middle School, Kate McClora knows that she just has to be a part of it. Leanne Van Dongen is a fourteen-year-old inspiring author who lives with her parents in the lower mainland of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Leanne has always loved writing stories at both school and at home. She came up with the idea of writing the "Showtime" collection when she was twelve years old. Kate the Great is the first book Leanne has written for the collection. Other than writing, she also enjoys figure skating.
