The Adventure Park at West Bloomfield, Michigan, located at 6600 West Maple Road, will salute the trees of America on Arbor Day 2017 with a three-day event, from Friday April 28 (National Arbor Day) through Sunday April 30. One dollar for every person zip lining and climbing in the Park's trees during those three days will be donated to the Arbor Day Foundation to help with forest awareness and preservation.

In addition, The Adventure Park will top that by also planting a tree on its campus for each climber at the park on Saturday April 29 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Last year, The West Bloomfield Adventure Park, together with the other Adventure Parks, all operated by the company, Outdoor Ventures, donated over $4,500 to the Arbor Day Foundation. "Let's see if we can top that in 2017," said Outdoor Ventures CEO, Bahman Azarm, inviting, "Everybody, come climb FOR the trees by climbing IN the trees!"

The money donated will help the Arbor Day Foundation's efforts, including its national reforestation program which replants trees in forests recovering from fire, storms, disease, insect damage and other threats. The Arbor Day Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit conservation and education organization established in 1972 seeks to inspire people to plant, nurture and celebrate trees as key national resources that clean our air and water, slow climate change, ease poverty and hunger, prevent species loss, and feed the human soul.

- What is The Adventure Park? -

As always, The Adventure Park features its special combination experience of zip lines mixed with challenge bridges between the trees that keeps people coming back for more. The park's friendly staff is available to answer questions and assist from the moment customers arrive to the moment they conclude their climb and return home with satisfied "I did it!" smiles.

The Adventure Park is not one single aerial treetop trail but a variety of different, color-coded aerial trails of differing challenge levels—beginner through expert—that climbers choose from depending on their age or climbing experience. These trails consist of platforms installed in the trees and connected by various configurations of cable, wood and rope to form "crossings" of different kinds including the ever-popular zip lines. Climbers wear harnesses which are doubly secured to safety cables using the Park's "always locked on" system of interlocking safety clips. Before venturing onto the trails climbers receive an interactive orientation and practice session.
